A satisfying result for Mato Homola after Day 1 in the Netherlands

Zandvoort circuit celebrates its 70th anniversary and Mato Homola starts with number 70… Coincidence? Hmmm… In any case, it looks like it brought luck to the young Slovak.

Mato was very happy with P8 in the Free Practice 1 and lost just 0.629 to the driver on the first place: “I’m really satisfied, we need to adjust some small things and it should work. It’s my first time here, but I like the circuit and the car starts to behave as I wish. We will see the real result in the qualifying and the race tomorrow,” said Mato after the first session.

”I finished 3 positions down compared to the FP1, but I still managed to be 0.5 s faster,” explains Mato after the Free Practice 2. Slovak driver is much happier with the setup of his car and this technical track really suits his Peugeot 308 TCR.

Qualifying starts tomorrow 8.30, which sets the starting grid for the Race 1, starting at 16:20.
