The testing came on the right time
We have arrived to Portugal unusually on Monday, as we have been given the opportunity to test the car with the team before the racing weekend, which starts on Friday.
There are many teams from TCR International Series besides us, as well as from SEAT Leon Eurocup. “We are really happy for this test opportunity, as I was not 100% sure with the car in Bahrain and with this we have one full testing day in addition, so we can try various setups. And in addition, I was never racing on Circuito Estoril, so this is great chance to learn this classic circuit.” Said Mato.
First weather forecasts for Estoril were rather pessimistic, with some showers on the program, but the reality was much better. “The weather was great, what makes me really happy. I was a lot on the track and I can say, that I know the Estoril circuit quite well.” He adds: “We had a chance to test various setups, with the differential, suspension, brakes. I believe, that we will be able to utilise it on the race.”
