Mato Homola will fight for another TCR Europe victory this weekend

Winner of the first 2019 TCR Race on Hungaroring, Mato Homola, is on his way to Hockenheim, for the second racing weekend of TCR Europe 2019. One of the best Slovak drivers, racing Hyundai i30 N TCR in the colors of the Italian Target Competition, will be one of the candidates for the victory.

Mato Homola, currently 3rd in the overall ranking of the championship, has gone through a lot of testing on the racing simulator, as this will be his maiden appearance on this circuit. “This will be the first time on Hockenheimring for me. I have spent many hours behind the simulator, and I am looking forward to getting there! Despite the circuit being transformed to another “Tilkedrome” in 2002, it has more options for overtaking and several difficult corners, what should be really good for my “N” and my driving style,” said Mato before the weekend.

Mato has not only made it to the pole position on Hungaroring, but he was also able to win the first race and he would like to continue. “Indeed. The victory tastes great. But there is a lot of strong competition, 10 Hyundais, and other strong brands. I will say my favorite saying – I will fight like a tiger and give it my best. When didn’t I?”, explains Mato.

The racing weekend will be a little different compared to the last one in Hungary. Both Free practice sessions will be held on Friday, with the Qualifying and the Race 1 on Saturday. Second Race is planned for Sunday. You can follow the first race live on the website of Slovak national TV RTVS and the second one will be broadcasted live on the Dvojka TV channel. Both of the sessions will have live Slovak commentary from Jan Zgravcak and Michal Cimbalik. Mato Homola has won the first race of 2019 TCR Europe race at Hungaroring!

The dream came true. Mato Homola hoped, that he will be able to show in the new team, new championship, and a new car, that he is able to win! And he did it! After winning the qualifying on Saturday, he was able to finish the first race on Saturday as a winner!
